Junior FF&E Designer

The Junior FF&E Designer will support the senior team in sourcing, documenting, organizing, and preparing FF&E packages across all stages of design development. This role is ideal for emerging designers who are eager to learn about materials, sourcing, procurement workflows, and the detailed process of bringing a design concept to life.

Key Responsibilities

Design Support

  • Assist in developing FF&E concepts, mood boards, storylines, and design palettes

  • Contribute to the creation of cohesive interior environments through material and product research

  • Support the team in maintaining a high standard of design detail and material refinement

Technical Oversight

  • Prepare FF&E schedules, specifications, and documentation under senior direction

  • Research and source furniture, lighting, fabrics, finishes, artwork, and accessories

  • Coordinate with vendors for samples, product data, pricing, and lead times

  • Maintain organized material libraries, sample inventories, and digital documentation

Project Management

  • Support cost checks, budgeting exercises, and value engineering reviews

  • Assist in preparing presentation decks and materials for internal and client meetings

  • Participate in site visits, sample reviews, and installation coordination activities

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with senior FF&E designers, project teams, and consultants

  • Contribute to a collaborative, proactive, and design-driven studio culture

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Help prepare and communicate FF&E concepts in meetings and presentations

  • Support coordination efforts with suppliers, contractors, and project stakeholders

Practice Development

  • Stay informed on new materials, finishes, and FF&E trends

  • Contribute to knowledge sharing within the studio through organized material resources


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in FF&E or design-related roles

  • Good understanding of materials, finishes, and basic furniture systems

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office

  • Strong initiative, organization, and communication skills

  • Willingness to learn, collaborate, and grow professionally within the team

  • Proactive in sourcing, researching, and organizing FF&E materials

  • Good communication and presentation support skills

  • Strong time management and ability to support multiple tasks
