The Senior FF&E Designer will take a leading role in developing, managing, and delivering FF&E design packages across multiple project types. This position requires a strong design point of view, deep knowledge of materials and furnishings, and the ability to guide teams and coordinate with consultants, suppliers, and clients. You will be responsible for driving concepts forward, ensuring technical accuracy in documentation, and overseeing the full process through final installation.
Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership
Lead FF&E concept development, including storylines, mood boards, palettes, and design narratives
Translate concepts into cohesive interior environments with attention to proportion, detail, and material quality
Maintain high standards of design quality, durability, and brand alignment
Technical Oversight
Develop comprehensive FF&E specifications, schedules, budgets, and procurement packages
Review, validate, and refine product selections for quality, compliance, and design intent
Coordinate with design teams, project managers, suppliers, and site teams to ensure seamless integration of FF&E elements
Oversee mock-ups, factory visits, and on-site installations to ensure design fidelity and execution
Source materials and products locally and internationally in collaboration with clients and consultants
Project Management
Manage FF&E deliverables, schedules, budgets, and documentation throughout all project phases
Conduct sample reviews, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely procurement and delivery
Prepare and deliver FF&E presentations to clients and senior stakeholders
Team Mentorship & Collaboration
Mentor junior FF&E designers and interior designs, in sourcing, documentation, and design decision-making
Promote a collaborative, accountable, and design-driven team culture
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Communicate concepts, design intent, and FF&E decisions clearly in presentations and meetings
Foster strong client relationships through proactive engagement and thoughtful design solutions
Practice Development
Stay informed on emerging materials, furniture, finishes, lighting, and design trends
Contribute to the studio’s continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and FF&E design discourse
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
4–8 years of proven FF&E experience, ideally within hospitality or commercial design
Strong command of materials, finishes, furniture manufacturing, lighting, and decorative elements
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office
Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail and design quality
