Meet the WTA team. WTA Family WTA Architecture and Design Studio is a family of thinkers who are bonded together by the idea that we have the passion and curiosity to be the best. While our architecture continues to grow and develop, it is our hope that we ourselves never stop doing the same. We believe that our biggest legacy is this family that never ceases to grow. WTA is the extended family that will, in time, be the studio’s greatest legacy. WILLIAM TI, JR. Principal Architect William graduated from National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Master’s Degree in Urban Design in 2012, and acquired his Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in 2002. Together with friends, he formed a partnership in 2005, and finally founded WTA Architecture and Design Studio in 2007. In the 18 years of his professional career, he has worked on hundreds of projects ranging from retail shops and housing projects to large scale malls, residential condominiums, hotels and master-planned developments. As a firm believer in sustainable planning and the advantages of urban living, he tries to imagine a better-curated more design-focused society where beautiful things and pleasant environments are ubiquitous, even in the densest city centers. He avidly collects superhero toys and religiously reads comic books and fantasy novels. On the rare day-off from architecture, he wanders around as a student of life, observing urban conditions. We actively collaborate with government agencies, academic institutions, and industry partners, while organizing a semiannual design workshop that explores new concepts and urban ideas for Manila and its evolving neighborhoods. Our commitment to advancing design culture has also led us to partner with organizations that champion urban transformation, including Artesan Prime Properties, a design-led urban developer; the Book Stop Project, an urban research initiative promoting literacy and public engagement through books; and Anthology Architecture and Design Festival Manila, the Philippines' largest celebration of architecture and design. < Back Design Director Fernando Cunanan Jr. "Architect by day, storyteller by design. He crafts spaces that weave narratives. Graduated with “Best Thesis of the Year” at the University of Santo Tomas in 2013, He quickly amassed a collection of accolades. He consistently placed 1st in various regional and national design competitions, solidifying his reputation for innovation. Notably, he received the prestigious UST “Benavides Outstanding Achievement Award” twice, in 2009 and 2011. These early achievements, along with his recognition as a finalist in the 2014 Taranta Powerstation Design Competition in Italy, showcase his exceptional talent and passion in architecture. While working at WTA, his design contributions were recognized internationally. The firm’s projects, on which he played a key role, garnered multiple World Architecture Festival finalist awards. When not leading the team, you might find him sketching – because after all, even the wildest creations start with a single line (and maybe a strong cup of coffee or three) "
