The Anthology ASEAN Architecture Festival 2026 officially opened today at Foro de Intramuros, bringing together architects, designers, cultural practitioners, students and other stakeholders around this year’s theme, “Shared Ground: Architecture of Care, Culture, and Collective Futures.”

At the opening ceremony, Anthology founder and curator Architect William Ti Jr. looked back on the festival’s beginnings some 10 years ago, when its first edition welcomed around 400 guests. By the close of this year’s edition, Anthology is expected to have engaged some 25,000 individuals. This edition also grew the festival’s reach beyond the Philippines, bringing together experts and practitioners from across ASEAN and other parts of Asia.

The opening was attended by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso.

Mayor Moreno said the City of Manila was committed to the ideals of Anthology, while the First Lady agreed with the festival’s central proposition that architecture should offer welcome and foster inclusivity, among others, especially in the ASEAN context.
