Rebecca Ti Honors the Next Generation of Architects

The event, attended by distinguished guests including members of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), and the Philippine Institute of Architects (PIA), recognized the achievements of this year’s topnotchers—representing the top 0.64% of thousands of exam takers.

For Rebecca, the date carried a personal milestone. Exactly ten years earlier, on July 19, 2015, she founded Plaza + Partners after returning from London, marking the beginning of a journey defined by ambition, resilience, and growth. In her address, she reflected on her early career—fearless yet untested at 25—navigating challenges, failures, and lessons that ultimately shaped her leadership.

She also emphasized the importance of partnership and balance, sharing how marriage, motherhood, and her role at WTA have deepened her perspective on both life and practice. Her message underscored that true success in architecture is not only measured by professional milestones but also by the communities we build and the people we grow with.

WTA is especially proud to celebrate Francheska Balisi, one of this year’s topnotchers and a member of the WTA team, whose achievement reflects both individual excellence and the studio’s commitment to nurturing talent.
