WTA Architecture and Design Studio

July 8, 2025

WTA Architecture and Design Studio has once again been recognized for design excellence, receiving the Honor Award for Community and Cultural Projects at the 2025 UAP Dubai Design Awards. The award was given for the firm’s work on the Tagaytay City Hall (Main Building), a landmark development that reflects WTA’s ongoing commitment to civic architecture and community-driven design.

The United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) Dubai Design Awards celebrates outstanding achievements in architecture and design among Filipino architects practicing around the world. The annual program is one of the most anticipated events in the Filipino architectural community abroad, recognizing projects that demonstrate design innovation, contextual sensitivity, and meaningful impact.

The Tagaytay City Hall, completed in recent years, was designed to be more than a center for governance—it was envisioned as a space that strengthens the connection between civic institutions and the public. WTA’s design emphasizes transparency, accessibility, and cultural relevance, blending local identity with contemporary design principles.

This recent recognition follows a string of accolades for WTA in 2025, affirming the studio’s growing presence on the global stage. Earlier this year, WTA was also shortlisted for the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in Miami, further underscoring its international reputation for forward-thinking and socially responsive architecture.

The UAP award not only acknowledges the studio’s design capabilities but also its advocacy for architecture that fosters social interaction, inclusivity, and public engagement—core tenets of WTA’s practice.

As the studio continues to expand its portfolio both locally and internationally, this milestone reinforces its position as one of the leading voices in contemporary Filipino architecture.
