Resthouses serve as an escape from the bustling city by taking advantage of the vast tranquil environment it sits on. The site is located in Ferrol, Tablas Island fronting the ivory-white sands of Binucot beach. Also at its front is the Binucot Sea Turtle Sanctuary, where female turtles safely return from their migrations to lay eggs of their own, thus the property takes its name "Pawikan" from this phenomenon unique to the site. 

Locals take pride in the spectacular sunset view that can be witnessed in Binucot beach. It is considered to be a tourist destination that is largely uncharted in the country. The designers maximized surrounding views by opening the house up on opposing ends, giving the users a specially intimate encounter with the surrounding environment.
