This concept challenges traditional notions, transforming hospitals from sterile, intimidating places into warm, welcoming environments that promote health and healing for all Filipinos. CONNECTIVITY In the context of EVMC, connectivity through the greenway bridge links the Legacy Building with the currently existing facilities, as well as the auxilliary buildings, allowing easier walkability from one point to another in the complex. INCLUSIVITY The Halfway house is as facility specifically intended for the families of patients who will be staying long- term, but can’t afford lodging while waiting for their loved-ones. This would be able to accomodate people who would be waiting for long periods of time, ensuring that they too, would have a pleasant experience within the hospital complex EFFICIENCY & COMPACTNESS Optimizing space and resources to enhance both patient care and operational workflows were one of the main considerations in designing the Legacy Hospital. Compactness in design helps reduce unnecessary movement and wasted space, improving response times and access to services With a limited space, the building being compact can also allow it to possibly be a blueprint for regional hospitals in the Philippines in the near future. This ensures that each floor area would be maximized to contribute to the efficiency of the operations of the whole healthcare facility.

The Chinese gardens are made for reflection and escape from the outside world. They create an idealized miniature landscape, which is meant to express the harmony that should exist between man and nature. A typical Chinese garden is enclosed by walls and includes one or more ponds, rock works, trees and flowers, and an assortment of halls and pavilions within the garden, connected by winding paths and zig-zag galleries. By moving from structure to structure, visitors can view a series of carefully composed scenes, unrolling like a scroll of landscape paintings. The master plan is envisioned as a healthy, sprawling urban oasis. The use of direct and indirect elements from nature throughout its residential, office, hospitality, education, and retail developments are intended to alleviate stress while increasing productivity, creativity, and overall well-being. WTA’s whole vision for the proposed “New Chinatown” is to make its architecture merge with its landscape intention, realizing the perfect balance between the structures and its environment. The silhouettes of the buildings will be an interpretation of towering mountains and other elements Chinese landscape paintings. Materials for the proposed edifices and landscape features will used natural color schemes which will take traditional Chinese architecture to a modern approach.
