A licensed architect from the UK, Melo studied at the Bartlett School of Architecture in UCL, London where he became interested in narrative architecture: creating form from pieces of history and culture. He moved to Philippines in 2018 and has been a part of WTA since March 2021. Managing various projects across differing sectors, he believes the Philippines to be the land of opportunity both in the industry as well as his new home away from home.

< Back Director Arvin Pangilinan Optimistic about the Future. A 2014 graduate of the prestigious University of Santo Tomas, Arvin embarked on his architectural career at WTA Architecture and Design Studio. Progressing to the role of Director, his professional ethos revolves around advocating for a human-nature-centric approach to architecture. His commitment lies in prioritizing human interaction and maintaining respect for the human scale in every project. In 2020, Arvin played the role of Festival Director for Anthology Festival 2020, Southeast Asia’s largest Architecture Festival. A testament to his global engagement, he represented his firm at the Archinesia Architecture Creative Forum in Indonesia in 2019. Additionally, he is recognized as a trailblazer for the internationally acclaimed Book Stop Project. In response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, WTA in a collaborative effort with diverse stakeholders, including leaders, companies, the AFP, suppliers, Local Government Units, and volunteers. Together, they successfully designed and constructed 75 Emergency Quarantine.

Graduating as the Batch Salutatorian and Thesis of the Year at the University of Santo Tomas, Rochelle began her career at WTA in 2017. During her budding years in the firm, she has played significant roles in the design of various projects, ranging from small-scale educational structures to mid-rise office towers and condominiums. Over a few years later, she now handles the overall design of master plans and building standards for WTA’s Public Housing Projects which will soon be home to thousands of Filipinos. She also shares a profound interest in Graphic Design which has driven her to be more inclined to the storytelling of spaces, to create architecture that are empathetic, user-friendly, and well-tailored to needs of its context.

< Back Associate Director Alwyn De Jesus Alwyn attained his bachelor's degree in Architecture at the University of Santo Tomas and has been a licensed architect based in Manila since 2016. He joined WTA Architecture and Design Studio in 2018 as part of the production team. His experience spans across retail, high-rise, master plan, stadium and residential projects handling working drawings, while honing his technical expertise. He has become integral to the office by offering his knowledge to other teams and their projects. He also recently assumed the role of Head of Retail overseeing multiple projects in the food and beverage industry as well as banks. He encourages a lively environment for his team while still maintaining quality output. He believes that the function of the space is equally as important as the design. He prioritizes the overall experience of the users while not compromising the design.
