These constant developments build up a diverse set of structures that need to be integrated through site development to identify as part of a whole. Using proportional scale to integrate the annex building levels, the base and the contrasting height is the primary focus of the design. The extruded masses on the design will reflect clustered zones as seen in the campus developments integrated by greens and open spaces. The design aims to provide security and privacy as well as a shade from the strong tropical sun by incorporating vertical operable shutters throughout the home. The façade of the house was designed with operable shutters that creates a well-illuminated entrance and hallway to the bedrooms when open as well as creating a more playful façade when closed. The rear side of the house was designed to maximize the beautiful view of the place. It follows the slope of the site and integrates a tiered garden, which emphasizes the original site contours. Operable shutters were also incorporated in order to provide sufficient shade and privacy when needed. Taking inspiration from the observed natural environment of Caliraya and its playful terrains along with natural creeks that sprawl within its vast lands, the intention was to create a space that blends and harmonizes with its setting, creating a place of belonging with ones surroundings. Similarly, the interiors of the house revolve around mimicking its observed natural environment. Taking inspiration for this, forms are deconstructed and polished for application in the human scale. Natural elements like wood and water add warmth and life while terraneous cleft limestone accents bring the outdoors and earth elements in. The interior dons natural wood as its primary finish to contrast the hard finishes within the house and cool climate of Caliraya. Practicality without sacrificing style is interpreted through straightforward silhouettes, strategic accent placements and organic textures. ! There are currently 19 bridges crossing the Pasig River, all of which built for vehicular traffic. While vehicular bridges function as a bypass, a pedestrian bridge offers alternative transport options, brings people together and creates social benefits to changing urban fabrics. With this current infrastructural void in Metro Manila, the Riverlane pedestrian bridge project aims to unite two neighboring cities by prioritizing human activity, connections, and scale. Tapping into architecture as a solution to urban issues and emphasizing synergies between different ecologies and urban systems. The form of this bridge is derived from the concept of twisting and knotting. The Riverlane responds to an increased need for pedestrian mobility. As our cities struggle over transportation and mobility amidst lockdowns, vehicular traffic, and increased transportation costs, wider walking paths must be given priority. Being close to retail outlets, hotel establishments, institutional buildings, parks, and the Manila Bay, it belongs to a flourishing community of mixed-use buildings. The concept of Upper West Park aims to address the problems of contemporary urban lifestyles by providing open public spaces on every level, each with different themes or uses. These spaces are then arranged in collected stacks that form distinct communities, creating a version of a small-scale neighborhood within the building with specific identities. Located in Noveleta, a town of 41,678 people, it contrasts the large residential subdivisions of small or single housing units located within 1.5 kilometers from the Cavite Special Economic Zone with over 200 industrial locators. Derived from the Greek word “life,” Zoey is a linear loop structure that wraps around a protected pedestrian core. This is meant to allow much larger scale and greater density while maintaining a continuous open space. The development acts as a community center for Noveleta, responding to the surrounding estates and to the ecozone by developing a scale that can serve as an organizing center and complement the nearby industrial plants. Zoey consists of walk-up ground level shop houses, twostorey row houses, modular apartment units, and executive suites. The units wrap around a vast pedestrian-only courtyard. This courtyard is zoned into distinct public spaces that allow interaction among different residential demographics and visitors. It has a grand lawn activity zone, a pool and amenities zone, a sports zone, and a 300-capacity clubhouse wrapping around this courtyard. There is a distinct multi-storey profile that allows better air flow and dramatic views from both inside and outside the courtyard. This articulation forms peaks and dips creating more unique spaces for the residences.
