A tropical sojourn with the sea, the architecture of The Oriental Leyte takes advantage of the climate by blurring the edges between the interiors and the exteriors. Sides facing beach appear very open, light, and permeable to encourage a seamless spatial relationship with the sea. To address the excessive sunlight and rain that the tropical climate entails, extensive overhangs and brise soleil are integrated in the overall design adding character to the minimalist canvas.
