The Arbor Hotel is designed to suit the milieu of Baguio. Known for its vast numbers of parks due to its well thought of master planning by the well-known architect Burnham, Baguio enjoyed the visibility of its open spaces, with the shade and scenery of pine trees and other oriental vegetation. It declares that the travelers/ guest belongs to the community, that they deserve the home that they need in the area.
Integrating the openness that Baguio’s breezy environment has to offer, the Arbor hotel’s main goal is to create a barrier-free space. Slatted partitions, picture windows and proper zoning keep the space bright, spacious and dynamic without feeling confined by four walls which guests are usually accustomed to.
PINING THROUGH
The Arbor hotel’s lobby and amenities mimic the verticality of the pine trees in which Baguio is known for. Tall wood slats and linear silhouettes on the furniture create the illusion of height. Featuring textured stone, indoor plants and warm-toned lighting, the hotel becomes an extension of the lush greenery that the province of Benguet is known for.
